Free webhosting for Blogger.com blogs who wants to avail of EntreCard’s OIO publisher offer.

We just received an email from EntreCard informing members that the social/ads network has forged a partnership with OIO publisher. OIO publisher is a script or plugin that allows us to run advertising in our sites automatically like ad networks.  It runs as a plugin for WordPress but for Blogger.com or BlogSpot blogs, here’s what the EntreCard Team wrote:

Again I need to be clear that you must have some sort of hosting to use OIO publisher. I works on blogger and all forms of blogging, but you do need some space on a server to upload and install the software. If all you have is a blogger blog hosted on blogspot, and don’t own/run any other websites, you won’t be able to use it until you get a shared hosting account with a webhost like godaddy or lunarpages.

The web hosting companies mentioned in the message are paid ones and are good options. However, if anybody doesn’t want to pay 5 dollars or more per month simply for hosting the OIO publisher script, then Free100MBhost is the next best option. It is a post-to-host web hosting company but is currently offering a totally FREE entry-level package with 100 megabytes of space and 500 megabytes of monthly bandwidth.

Check out the complete list of their packages here and read their TOS here.

That’s great news. I was going to try out OIO Publisher, but didn’t because of the fact that I am using a Blogger Blog. However, now that I know OIO Publisher is an option, I may have to give it a try.

Currently, I am doing private advertising, but we all know that that doesn’t go to well if you don’t have a lot of traffic.

True, the only ad network that works for RMO right now is ProjectWondeful. The income isn’t really that wonderful but it does help us pay for hosting and domain registration.

Since your thinking of getting an independent host, you might want to try OpenX. We’ve actually have it installed and running for some time but wasn’t able to test it yet due to time constraints.

BTW, why not try RMO’s KeywordLuv feature? We believe part of blogging is having an identity or brand. KeywordLuv allows you use a username and a keyword. Just type name@keyword and the plugin will do the rest.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

daltonplates.info offer free blog hosting and you can use adsense, ebay, and Kontera. You can also use do-follow links.

As far as the OIO plugin I am not sure, but it would not hurt to ask. I had a blog there before I got my own hosting and they were very helpful to me.

    All the best

I have never used OIO before – what kind of payouts have you experienced with them, and what terms do they pay on?

So I finally gave in and purchased hosting at Godaddy.

    1) I got a Godaddy Hosting account that meets the requirements of OIO.

    2) I’ve uploaded the OIO Files to “my files” area in Godaddy.

    3) Then comes the databases. I have no idea what to do or How to create a database. I think that’s what I need to do right?

Can somebody help point me in the right direction?
