Inspiring Sunday: Serial teen entrepreneur Cameron Johnson.
Sunday, 12 October 2008
Whenever we think of successful teen online entrepreneurs, Ashley Qualls of Whateverlife.com always comes to mind. Ashley’s business is mainly focused on that site. Cameron Johson is different, he’s both a serial and a super entrepreneur. Like he was born to make money off the web.
Cameron is now 23 but he made his first million before he turned 19. His money-making adventure began at the age of 9 selling greeting cards, then moved on at 12 to buying his sister’s dolls and selling them on eBay. His next venture was MyEZmail, which started giving him $3,000 a month after 2 years. Then came surfingprizes and certificatesswap, both sold later for hefty sums.
And it all began with greeting cards made for his parents’ parties. Cameron is not only a naturally gifted entrepreneur, he also has a penchant for saving his money and investing them into more and better ventures. His advice to us wannabe entrepreneurs is to put ourselves out there, to be not afraid of rejection, to be not afraid to ask anything.

You know you are destined for many opportunities in business when you are selling greeting cards at age 9. Great post. I also had not heard of him.

I have heard of Cameron Johnson a few times before, but every time I hear his story it becomes more and more awe-inspiring. To be a serial entrepreneur and make your first million by 19 is unheard of for a lot of even much older entrepreneurs to do in such little time. He is most definitely destined to do much, much more and will do great things with his life. He is already giving entrepreneurs everywhere the confidence boost of a lifetime just letting everyone know that it is possible.

Sorry, this post is nearly 2 Sundays old and it’s only now we can reply to comments. It’s been a pretty hectic 2 weeks.
Yes, Cameron Johnson is a genius, if we may venture to say. It’s not hard to imagine that he’ll top the list of the richest people someday.
Warren Buffet started his first business at 14. Johnson has a 5 year head start.
Thank you all for the comments.
